I am currently in preproduction on a short film I wrote called "Kiss, Marry, Kill." The film follows a woman who is trying to figure out what to do in the aftermath of a tragedy.
The script is being finalized as well as the locations, filming dates, and all the other fun preproduction tasks. Keep an eye out on my socials for updates. :)
I recently performed in Polaris Theater's short play festival The Heart Light Connection. This festival showcased seven plays with the central theme of finding a connection with those around you. I was given the opportunity to not only join this amazing theater for this collection of shows but also the chance to play Tiffany in The Brooch by John Clay directed by Barbara Parisi. This play focuses on two sisters and their need to reconnect with each other right after their mother's wake.
I also just completed my first stage reading since moving to New York. I was given the opportunity to portray Rylee in the show Safe Space by Thea Belle Flannzer in Talking it Out October Festival Live Presentation of One Act Plays. This play was recorded live on October 13th at Spit & Viger Theater. I am so excited to announce that you can also listen to it now as it can be found on Spotify at the link below.
I am working on some edits to my play "7 Years." This play is something I am extremely proud of. What started as an assignment for a class I had while in undergrad, quickly took a life of its own. Before I transferred to LIU, I spend the first few years of my undergrad at the University of Florida. While there I heard of a study that said that if you can make it through 7 years of friendship, you'll be friends for life. This became the inspiration for the 7 Years. The show follows Toby, Angelica, and Hope as they navigate their 7th year of friendship, and how they navigate their friendship as dynamics change within the friend group. Is the group will lose what they have, or will they fight to keep their group together. After all they have been friends for 7 years, and Toby and Angelica have been together for 5. I was very fortunate to be given the opportunity to have my play preformed and see what worked and what didn't.
I am also currently working on writing a new script with the working title "The Last Goodbye." This will be the second full length play I have written. This one follows a daughter who is going to visit her dying grandmother, while also having to see her farther she's estranged from.
